Anthracnose disease caused by the fungus Colletotrichum sp. is a major challenge in the cultivation of chili peppers (Capsicum frutescens L.), leading to significant yield losses. Excessive use of synthetic pesticides has negative impacts, necessitating environmentally friendly alternatives such as plant-based nanoemulsion pesticides. To assess the effectiveness of nanoemulsion made from cinnamon (Cinnamomum burmanii) and soapberry (Sapindus rarak) in controlling anthracnose in chili peppers through in vitro and in vivo studies. The study employed a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 5 treatments and 5 replications. Data were analyzed using One-Way ANOVA, followed by Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT) at a 95% confidence level. In vitro the 12% concentration (P1) was the most effective treatment, inhibiting colony growth by 74,75%. In vivo the 18% concentration (P4) significantly reduced disease severity by 50,33% and maintained the physical quality of the fruit until the end of the observation period. The nanoemulsion formulation effectively enhances the antifungal performance of the active compounds in cinnamon and soapberry in controlling Colletotrichum sp.
