Drip irrigation is a water-saving irrigation technology with the potential to improve vegetable crop productivity, especially in dryland areas where water availability is limited. This study aims to analyze the influence of drip irrigation on water-use efficiency and vegetable productivity compared to conventional irrigation systems. The research methods included measuring crop water requirements, monitoring soil moisture levels, and evaluating yield performance across several vegetable species. The results indicate that drip irrigation significantly enhances water-use efficiency by reducing evaporation and deep percolation losses. Furthermore, crop productivity increased due to the more precise distribution of water in the root zone. These findings confirm that drip irrigation is an effective technology for improving agricultural yields and conserving water in dryland environments, providing a strong basis for the development of more sustainable water-management strategies.
