This study aims to examine habitat changes of endemic fish in volcanic lakes caused by agricultural activities within the watershed area. Agricultural practices surrounding the lake potentially degrade water quality through runoff containing chemical fertilizers, pesticides, and sediments, thereby disturbing aquatic ecosystem balance. The research employed a quantitative descriptive approach involving water, sediment, riparian vegetation, and endemic fish sampling at several observation points. Analyses were conducted on water physicochemical parameters (pH, DO, turbidity, TN, TP), habitat structure, and fish abundance. The results indicated that areas with high agricultural intensity experienced significant water quality degradation and increased sedimentation, leading to a decline in endemic fish abundance and diversity. These findings emphasize the importance of environmentally friendly agricultural management and riparian vegetation rehabilitation to sustain endemic fish habitats in volcanic lakes.
