Sharia financial literacy is a crucial factor in enhancing public understanding of Sharia financial products and services, including the Sharia capital market. However, public participation in the Indonesian Sharia capital market remains relatively low, despite its immense development potential. This study aims to examine the role of Sharia financial literacy in increasing public participation in the Sharia capital market. A library research method with a descriptive-qualitative approach was employed. Data were gathered from various secondary sources—such as books, scholarly journals, articles, and official publications—pertaining to Sharia financial literacy and the Sharia capital market. Content analysis was used to analyze the data by identifying, comparing, and interpreting relevant research findings. The results indicate that Sharia financial literacy plays a significant role in enhancing public knowledge, confidence, and the ability to make investment decisions in accordance with Sharia principles. In addition to Sharia financial literacy, public participation is also influenced by factors such as education level, income, investment motivation, ease of technological access, risk perception, and trust in Sharia financial institutions. Therefore, efforts to improve Sharia financial literacy through continuous education and outreach must be sustained to boost public participation in the Sharia capital market and support national economic growth.
