Author Guidelines – Jurnal Ilmu Teknologi Informasi Indonesia (JITIFNA)

A. General Requirements

To meet the minimum standards of JITIFNA, submissions must adhere to the following criteria:

  1. Manuscripts should be written in Indonesian or English and must include an abstract and keywords in English.

  2. The paper should be in English and formatted to A4 size.

  3. The text should be typed in two columns.

  4. Line spacing should be single, with one space between lines.

  5. Margin formatting: Top 1.9 cm, Bottom 4.13 cm, Left 1.43 cm, Right 1.43 cm, using mirror margins.

  6. Text should use Times New Roman, 10-point font, prepared in Microsoft Word.

  7. Figures must be numbered, with titles placed below each figure, using single spacing.

  8. Tables must be numbered, with titles placed above each table, also using single spacing.

  9. Author names must include complete affiliation addresses and corresponding email addresses.

  10. Manuscripts should be 6–10 pages in length. Papers exceeding 10 pages will be subject to editorial evaluation.

  11. Authors should use reference management tools such as Zotero, Mendeley, or EndNote, and follow the APA citation style.

  12. Manuscripts must be formatted using the official JITIFNA template.

  13. Submissions must comply with the journal’s Ethical Statement and Copyright Transfer Agreement.


B. Structure of the Manuscript

Manuscripts should be structured as follows:

  1. Title

    • Written in sentence case, without acronyms or abbreviations.

    • Must clearly indicate the focus of the study.

  2. Abstract

    • Maximum 250 words, written in Times New Roman, single-spaced.

    • Should not contain citations.

    • Must summarize the problem background, proposed solution, research design, methods used, results, analysis, and conclusions.

  3. Keywords

    • Between 3–5 keywords, written in English.

  4. Introduction

    • Explain the significance and necessity of the research.

    • Describe the research problem, review related studies, identify gaps, and explain how the current research addresses them.

    • Present hypotheses (if applicable) at the end of this section.

  5. Methods

    • Describe the research design, population, sample, instruments, and procedures.

    • Must be detailed enough to allow replication.

    • Typically written in the past tense and passive voice, with subheadings if needed.

  6. Results and Discussion

    • Results: Present findings with tables and figures.

    • Tables: Numbered, with captions above the table.

    • Figures: Numbered, with captions below the figure.

    • Discussion: Interpret the results, relate them to previous studies, discuss limitations, and suggest future research directions.

  7. Conclusion

    • Provide a concise summary of key findings.

    • Discuss whether the claims are supported by the results.

    • Highlight the contribution to scientific knowledge.

  8. Acknowledgment (if any)

    • Recognize contributions from individuals, institutions, or funding bodies.

  9. References

    • Minimum 20 references, at least 5 from the last 10 years (unless older sources are essential).

    • Must follow APA citation style.

    • Authors are fully responsible for reference accuracy.

    • The editorial team reserves the right to correct grammar and formatting.
