Abstract

This study aimed to evaluate the management of Woodball sports coaching at Pengcab IWbA in Bangkalan Regency, covering the aspects of Planning, Organizing, Controlling, and Product. This study employed a descriptive evaluative quantitative approach using an adapted CIPP evaluation model according to the focus of the study. Data were collected through questionnaires and documentation. The study population consisted of 36 respondents, comprising 12 administrators, 2 coaches, and 22 athletes. The entire population was used as the research sample through a total sampling technique. The research instrument consisted of 24 statements using a Likert scale, which had undergone expert validation and reliability testing, resulting in a Cronbach’s Alpha value of 0.967. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics in the form of frequency distributions and percentages. The results showed that the Planning aspect obtained a percentage of 86.76%, categorized as very good; Organizing obtained 87.87%, categorized as very good; Controlling obtained 88.43%, categorized as very good; and Product obtained 87.31%, categorized as very good. Overall, the Woodball sports coaching management at Pengcab IWbA in Bangkalan Regency obtained a percentage of 87.59%, categorized as very good. Nevertheless, improvements are still needed, particularly in developing long-term coaching programs, clarifying task distribution and organizational coordination, documenting and following up on monitoring and evaluation results, and ensuring the sustainability of coaching programs to optimize the development and achievement of Woodball athletes in Bangkalan Regency.
