Fitness applications often separate weight-training management from dietary monitoring, requiring users to access different features or applications. This study describes the initial design of Strive, a mobile fitness application intended for adults over 30 who practice weight training and need to monitor dietary intake. The design process adopts Goal-Directed Design (GDD), supported by literature review, user interviews, and competitor analysis. Twelve participants were selected purposively based on the criteria of being over 30 years old and routinely engaging in weight training. The design activities included user modeling through personas and a user journey map, requirement definition through Hierarchical Task Analysis (HTA), functional requirements, feature prioritization, and information architecture, followed by user flows and wireframes. The outputs documented in this article are the early design artifacts that organize user goals, tasks, and application features. These artifacts provide a structured basis for subsequent detailed interface design and usability evaluation; they do not represent the results of the later evaluation stages.
