AUTHOR ETHICS

1. Research Reporting

Authors are required to present their research processes and findings to the editorial team in an honest, transparent, and complete manner. All research data must be stored securely and managed responsibly.

2. Originality and Plagiarism

Authors must guarantee that the manuscript submitted is genuinely their own work, developed from their ideas, and free from plagiarism. Using or adapting others’ ideas or works without proper acknowledgment is strictly prohibited.

3. Exclusivity of Submission

Manuscripts submitted to JODETOS must not be under consideration or previously submitted to other journals or publications. Any simultaneous submission will result in rejection.

4. Authorship Criteria

All listed authors must have made substantial contributions according to their expertise. The corresponding author bears full responsibility for communication during the publication process and for resolving any concerns that may arise.

5. Correction of Published Work

If authors identify significant errors or inaccuracies in the manuscript—such as incorrect information, affiliations, or data—they must immediately notify the editor so corrections or retractions can be made as needed.

6. Conflict of Interest Disclosure

Authors must openly declare any financial, academic, or personal relationships that may influence the research or interpretation of the manuscript.

EDITOR ETHICS

1. Publication Decisions

Editors must conduct the editorial and peer-review process with fairness, transparency, and professionalism. Decisions on acceptance or rejection must be based on academic merit and the journal’s editorial standards.

2. Information and Data Handling

Editors are responsible for properly managing all information, ensuring its appropriate and ethical use in both print and digital platforms.

3. Peer-Review Management

Editors are tasked with assigning manuscripts to qualified reviewers and ensuring that reviews are conducted objectively and on time.

4. Editorial Integrity

Editors must evaluate manuscripts without bias, regardless of the authors’ background, institutional affiliation, gender, ethnicity, religion, or nationality.

5. Confidentiality

Editors must safeguard the confidentiality of all submitted manuscripts and author details. Unpublished materials may not be used for personal gain.

6. Conflict of Interest Disclosure

Editors must avoid any situation that could create a conflict of interest and interfere with the editorial and review process.

REVIEWER ETHICS

1. Objectivity and Independence

Reviewers are expected to provide fair, objective, and unbiased evaluations. Personal characteristics or affiliations of the authors may not influence their assessment.

2. Reference Accuracy

Reviewers should verify the accuracy and relevance of cited references and notify the editor if they find errors, inconsistencies, or potential ethical concerns.

3. Review Punctuality

Reviewers must complete evaluations within the assigned review period (a maximum of 2 weeks). Any anticipated delays should be communicated to the editorial office promptly.
