Author Guidelines

A. General Requirements

To meet the minimum standards of the Journal of Global Economic Development and Policy (JOGEDPOL), submissions must adhere to the following criteria:

  1. Language: Manuscripts should be written in Indonesian or English and must include an abstract and keywords in English.

  2. Format: Manuscripts must be written in English and formatted to A4 paper size.

  3. Layout: Text must be typed in two columns.

  4. Spacing: Single line spacing, with one space between paragraphs.

  5. Margins:

    • Top: 1.9 cm

    • Bottom: 4.13 cm

    • Left: 1.43 cm

    • Right: 1.43 cm

    • Mirror margins required

  6. Font: Times New Roman, 10-point, prepared using Microsoft Word.

  7. Figures: Must be numbered, with titles located below each figure, single-spaced.

  8. Tables: Must be numbered, with titles located above each table, single-spaced.

  9. Authors’ Information: Include full affiliation details and corresponding email addresses.

  10. Manuscript Length: Between 6 to 10 pages. Manuscripts exceeding 10 pages will undergo editorial review.

  11. Reference Management: Authors must use Zotero, Mendeley, or EndNote, following the APA citation style.

  12. Template: Manuscripts must follow the official JOGEDPOL template.

  13. Ethics and Copyright: Submissions must comply with the journal's Ethical Statement and Copyright Transfer Agreement.


B. Structure of The Manuscript

Manuscripts should follow the structure below:


1. Title

The title must be written in sentence case, without acronyms or abbreviations, and clearly indicate the focus of the study.


2. Abstract

The abstract must provide a concise summary of the manuscript (maximum 250 words), written in Times New Roman, single-spaced, and without citations.
The abstract should include:

  • Background of the problem

  • Proposed solution or study purpose

  • Research design

  • Methods used

  • Results or findings

  • Analysis and conclusion


3. IMRaD Structure


Introduction

The introduction should:

  • Explain the importance or necessity of the research.

  • Describe the problem or situation that motivated the study.

  • Review the current state of research.

  • Identify research gaps.

  • Explain how the present study addresses those gaps.

  • Present hypotheses (if applicable) at the end of the introduction.


Methods

This section should detail:

  • Research population and sample

  • Data collection techniques

  • Instruments, tools, or equipment used

  • Experimental or analytical procedures

  • Statistical or qualitative analysis methods

The Methods section must be sufficiently detailed to allow replication. Use past tense and passive voice, and include subheadings where appropriate.


Results and Discussion

Results:

  • Present findings clearly and systematically.

  • Use tables and figures as needed.

  • Tables must have captions above; figures must have captions below.

  • Use past tense.

  • Number tables and figures separately.

Discussion:

  • Summarize the key findings.

  • Compare findings with previous research.

  • Discuss the implications.

  • Address limitations.

  • Suggest areas for future research.


Conclusion

Provide a concise summary of the study’s major findings.
Explain how the results support the research purpose or hypotheses, relate to previous studies, and contribute to scientific knowledge.


References

  • Minimum of 20 references.

  • At least five must be from the last ten years.

  • Older references may be included if contextually relevant.

  • Follow APA citation style.

  • Accuracy of references is the responsibility of the authors.

  • Editors may correct grammar and adjust formatting as necessary.
