Peer Review Process

Journal of Global Economic Development and Policy (JOGEDPOL)

Initial Review

The initial review of the submitted manuscript is conducted by the editors. During this desk evaluation, the editors determine whether the manuscript is suitable for the Journal of Global Economic Development and Policy (JOGEDPOL) based on:

Alignment with the journal’s focus and scope
Similarity score using Crosscheck–iThenticate
Methodological soundness
Readability and clarity
Adherence to the journal’s paper template

If the manuscript passes this stage, it is forwarded to at least two anonymous reviewers for a Blind Peer Review.

Review Process

The anonymous reviewers’ comments and recommendations are communicated to the corresponding author, who must revise the manuscript and submit a response.
After revisions are received, the editorial team meets to evaluate the revised manuscript and suggest a final decision.

The Editor then communicates the final decision to the corresponding author.
Accepted manuscripts will continue to the copyediting and layout editing stages to prepare the camera-ready version.

Review Outcomes

Based on reviewer feedback and editorial assessment, the Editor makes the final publication decision.
The typical review duration is 4 to 8 weeks.
Possible decisions include:

1. Reject

Rejected manuscripts will not be published, and authors cannot resubmit a revised version to the
Journal of Global Economic Development and Policy (JOGEDPOL).

2. Resubmit for Review

The manuscript requires substantial revisions and will undergo a second review round before acceptance.

3. Accept with Revisions

The manuscript is conditionally accepted pending Minor or Major revisions.
The editorial team reviews the revised manuscript to ensure all required changes are addressed.

4. Accept

The manuscript is accepted in its current form without further modification.

The Editor will communicate directly with the corresponding author, who is responsible for sharing updates with co-authors.
