Author Guidelines
Author Guidelines – Jurnal Ilmu Kesehatan Terpadu Indonesia (KESTERI)
A. General Requirements
To ensure that manuscripts meet the publication standards of Jurnal Ilmu Kesehatan Terpadu Indonesia (KESTERI), authors must follow the guidelines below:

Manuscripts may be written in English or Indonesian; however, all submissions must include an abstract and keywords in English.

Papers must be prepared in A4 format and written using English.

The manuscript should be typed in a two-column layout.

Single line spacing is required throughout the manuscript.

Page margin settings must follow the format: Top 1.9 cm, Bottom 4.13 cm, Left 1.43 cm, Right 1.43 cm, using mirror margins.

Manuscripts must use Times New Roman, 10-point font, prepared using Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx).

Figures must be numbered sequentially, with captions placed below each figure in single spacing.

Tables must be numbered sequentially, with titles placed above each table in single spacing.

Author names must include complete institutional affiliations and a valid corresponding email address.

Manuscripts should be 6 to 10 pages in length. Papers exceeding 10 pages may undergo additional editorial evaluation.

Authors are required to use reference management software such as Zotero, Mendeley, or EndNote, and citations must follow the APA style.

Manuscripts must be formatted according to the KESTERI article template.

All submissions must adhere to the journal’s Ethical Statement, Plagiarism Policy, and Copyright and Licensing Policy.
B. Structure of the Manuscript
Manuscripts submitted to KESTERI should be organized as follows:
1. Title
The title must be written in sentence case, free of abbreviations or acronyms, and should clearly convey the central theme or focus of the study.
2. Abstract
The abstract should summarize the manuscript in no more than 250 words, written in Times New Roman, single-spaced. It should not contain citations and must include:

background of the research problem,
-
proposed solution or purpose of the study,
-
research design,
-
methods used,
-
key findings,
-
analysis, and
-
main conclusions.
3. Main Sections (IMRaD Format)
a. Introduction
Explain the significance of the study, the problem addressed, relevant previous research, existing research gaps, and how the study contributes to filling those gaps. If applicable, hypotheses should be stated at the end of the section.
b. Methods
Provide a clear and detailed description of the research procedures, including the population, sample, instruments, materials, and analytical techniques used. This section should be sufficiently detailed to allow replication and is typically written in past tense and passive voice, with subheadings as needed.
c. Results and Discussion
Results: Present findings objectively, using tables and figures as appropriate. Figures must have captions below them, and tables must have titles above them. Use past tense.
Discussion: Interpret findings, relate them to existing literature, highlight contributions, acknowledge limitations, and propose directions for future research.
d. Conclusion
Summarize the key outcomes of the study. Discuss how the findings support the research objectives, their relation to previous work, and their broader implications for advancing knowledge.
4. References
Authors must include at least 20 references, with a minimum of five sources published within the last ten years, unless older sources are required for theoretical or historical context.
All citations must follow APA style. Authors are responsible for reference accuracy; however, the editorial team may revise grammar and layout for consistency.
