Author Ethics

1. Research Reporting

Authors must present their research processes and findings honestly, transparently, and comprehensively to the editorial team. All research data must be safely stored and managed responsibly.

2. Originality and Plagiarism

Authors must ensure that the submitted manuscript is their original work, developed from their ideas, and free from plagiarism. Using or adapting the work of others without proper citation is strictly prohibited.

3. Exclusivity of Submission

Manuscripts submitted to KESTERI must not be under review or previously submitted to other journals or publications. Any simultaneous submission will result in immediate rejection.

4. Authorship Criteria

All listed authors must have made significant contributions according to their expertise. The corresponding author is responsible for communication during the publication process and addressing any issues that may arise.

5. Correction of Published Work

If authors discover significant errors or inaccuracies in their published manuscript—such as data errors, incorrect affiliations, or misleading information—they must promptly inform the editor so that corrections or retractions can be carried out.

6. Conflict of Interest Disclosure

Authors must openly declare any financial, academic, or personal relationships that could influence their research or the interpretation of its findings.


Editor Ethics

1. Publication Decisions

Editors must conduct the editorial and peer-review process with fairness, transparency, and professionalism. Decisions regarding acceptance or rejection must be based solely on academic merit and the journal’s editorial standards.

2. Information and Data Handling

Editors are responsible for managing all information properly and ensuring its ethical use in both print and digital forms.

3. Peer-Review Management

Editors must assign manuscripts to competent reviewers and ensure the review process is objective, timely, and in accordance with journal policies.

4. Editorial Integrity

Editors must evaluate manuscripts without discrimination based on authors’ backgrounds, affiliations, gender, ethnicity, religion, or nationality.

5. Confidentiality

Editors must protect the confidentiality of all submitted manuscripts and author information. Unpublished materials may not be used for personal benefit.

6. Conflict of Interest Disclosure

Editors must avoid situations that may create conflicts of interest and compromise the integrity of the editorial and review process.


Reviewer Ethics

1. Objectivity and Independence

Reviewers must provide fair, objective, and unbiased evaluations. Personal factors or affiliations of the authors may not influence their judgment.

2. Reference Accuracy

Reviewers should verify the accuracy and relevance of cited references and inform the editor if they identify errors, inconsistencies, or potential ethical concerns.

3. Review Punctuality

Reviewers must complete manuscript evaluations within the assigned review period (maximum 2 weeks). Any delays must be communicated immediately to the editorial office.

4. Conflict of Interest Disclosure

Reviewers must refrain from evaluating manuscripts where conflicts of interest could compromise the review’s integrity.
