B. Structure of the Manuscript

The manuscript should be organized according to the following structure:

Title

The title should:

  • Clearly reflect the content and focus of the study.
  • Be written in sentence case.
  • Avoid unnecessary abbreviations and acronyms.
  • Be concise, informative, and specific.
  • Be relevant to the field of mathematics education.

Abstract

The abstract should:

  • Not exceed 250 words.
  • Be written in Times New Roman with single spacing.
  • Be presented in one paragraph.
  • Not contain citations, references, tables, or figures.

The abstract should briefly explain:

  • Background of the problem.
  • Research objectives.
  • Research methods and design.
  • Main findings.
  • Interpretation of the results.
  • Conclusions and implications of the research.

Keywords

Provide 3–5 keywords that accurately represent the content of the manuscript. Keywords should reflect the main concepts, variables, methods, or topics discussed in the article.

Article Structure (IMRaD Format)

The manuscript should follow the IMRaD structure:

Introduction

The Introduction should:

  • Explain the importance and relevance of the study in mathematics education.
  • Present the research problem and its context.
  • Review relevant literature and previous studies.
  • Identify research gaps or unresolved issues.
  • Explain the novelty and contribution of the study.
  • State the objectives of the research.
  • Present hypotheses, if applicable, at the end of the section.

Methods

The Methods section should clearly describe:

  • Research design and approach.
  • Population and sample or research participants.
  • Data collection techniques.
  • Research instruments.
  • Learning materials, media, or equipment used, where applicable.
  • Research procedures.
  • Data analysis techniques and statistical methods.

The information provided should be sufficiently detailed to allow other researchers to understand and, where appropriate, replicate the study.

Results and Discussion

Results

The Results section should:

  • Present research findings clearly and systematically.
  • Present quantitative or qualitative findings according to the research objectives.
  • Use tables, figures, graphs, and statistical analyses where appropriate.
  • Number tables and figures consecutively.
  • Place table titles above tables and figure captions below figures.
  • Ensure that all tables and figures are referred to in the manuscript text.

Discussion

The Discussion section should:

  • Interpret and explain the research findings.
  • Relate the findings to relevant theories and previous studies.
  • Compare and explain similarities or differences with previous research.
  • Highlight theoretical and practical implications for mathematics education.
  • Discuss limitations of the study.
  • Suggest potential directions for future research.

Conclusion

The Conclusion should:

  • Summarize the main findings.
  • Directly answer the research objectives or research questions.
  • Demonstrate the contribution of the study to mathematics education.
  • Explain the significance and implications of the findings.
  • Provide recommendations when appropriate.

The conclusion should not merely repeat the results but should emphasize the scientific contribution and implications of the research.

Acknowledgment

Acknowledgments may be included to recognize funding agencies, institutions, research assistants, teachers, schools, or individuals who contributed significantly to the research but do not meet the criteria for authorship.

References

References should:

  • Contain a minimum of 20 references.
  • Include at least five references published within the last ten years, unless older references are essential to the topic.
  • Primarily consist of scholarly sources such as journal articles, books, conference proceedings, and reputable scientific publications.
  • Include relevant and recent literature in the field of mathematics education.
  • Be formatted according to APA Style.
  • Be cited consistently within the manuscript.

The accuracy, relevance, and completeness of references are the responsibility of the authors.
