Publication Ethics
AUTHOR ETHICS
Reporting
Authors must provide information about the research process and results to the editor honestly, clearly, and comprehensively, and keep research data properly and safely.
Originality and Plagiarism
Authors must ensure that the submitted manuscript is original, written by themselves, sourced from their own ideas, and does not plagiarize the works or ideas of others. Authors are strictly prohibited from presenting the work of others as their own.
Redundant Submission
Authors must confirm that the submitted manuscript has never been submitted to another journal or publication. Any form of redundant or duplicate submission is unacceptable and will result in rejection.
Authorship
Authors must ensure that all listed authors have made significant contributions to the manuscript and possess expertise relevant to the publication field. The corresponding author is responsible for communication with the editorial office and for resolving any issues arising during the publication process.
Correction of Errors
Authors should promptly notify the editor of any significant errors discovered in the manuscript, whether related to names, affiliations, data, or other content that may affect the interpretation and credibility of the work. Necessary corrections must be made immediately.
Disclosure of Conflict of Interest
Authors must disclose any financial, institutional, personal, or other conflicts of interest that may influence the results, interpretation, or publication of the manuscript.
EDITOR ETHICS
Publication Decision
Editors of Jurnal Ilmu Sosial, Pendidikan, Sains, Ekonomi dan Teknik (SONONI) are responsible for making publication decisions through a transparent, objective, fair, and professional editorial process. Decisions are based on the manuscript's academic merit, originality, relevance, and contribution to scientific development.
Information Management
Editors must ensure the proper management, security, and distribution of both printed and electronic information related to the journal.
Peer-Review Distribution
Editors are responsible for assigning manuscripts to qualified reviewers and managing the peer-review process effectively and efficiently.
Objectivity and Neutrality
Editors must evaluate manuscripts objectively without discrimination based on gender, ethnicity, religion, race, nationality, institutional affiliation, or political beliefs of the authors.
Confidentiality
Editors must maintain the confidentiality of manuscripts and all related information during the review and publication process.
Disclosure of Conflict of Interest
Editors must avoid any conflicts of interest and shall not use unpublished materials disclosed in submitted manuscripts for their own research without the author's written consent.
REVIEWER ETHICS
Objectivity and Neutrality
Reviewers must conduct reviews objectively, fairly, and independently, providing constructive feedback to improve the quality of the manuscript regardless of the author's background.
Source Clarity
Reviewers should identify relevant published works that have not been cited by the authors and report any substantial similarity or overlap with previously published works.
Review Timeliness
Reviewers must complete the review process within the assigned review period (maximum of 2 weeks). If unable to meet the deadline, reviewers should immediately notify the editorial office.
Confidentiality
Reviewers must treat manuscripts received for review as confidential documents and must not share or discuss them with others without authorization from the editor.
Disclosure of Conflict of Interest
Reviewers must disclose any conflicts of interest that could affect their evaluation and should decline the review assignment when such conflicts exist.
