This study aims to examine the effect of the Discovery Learning model on the descriptive text writing skills of fourth-grade students at SD Negeri Centre Mangalli Gowa. A quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method and a Nonequivalent Control Group Design was employed. The population comprised 64 fourth-grade students, selected via purposive sampling: Class IV-A as the control group (32 students) and Class IV-B as the experimental group (32 students). Data were gathered through observation, performance tests, and documentation, then analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics (Independent Sample t-Test). The results demonstrate that the implementation of Discovery Learning progressed from "good" (first meeting) to "very good" (second meeting). Furthermore, the inferential analysis yielded a two-tailed significance value of < 0.001 (p < 0.05), indicating a rejection of H0 and acceptance of Ha. Thus, the Discovery Learning model exerts a positive, statistically significant effect on enhancing the descriptive text writing skills of primary school students.
