Manuscripts submitted to NILAFO must be organized in the following structure:

Title

The title should be written in sentence case, avoid acronyms or abbreviations, and clearly reflect the focus and scope of the study.

Abstract

The abstract must be concise and informative, not exceeding 250 words, written in Times New Roman, single-spaced. It should not contain citations and must briefly cover the research background, objectives, methodology, key results, analysis, and conclusions.

Keywords

Provide 3–5 keywords that represent the core topics of the manuscript.

Section Structure (IMRaD Format)

Introduction

The introduction should explain the importance and relevance of the research, outline the research problem, review relevant literature, identify research gaps, and describe how the study addresses these gaps. Research hypotheses, if applicable, should be presented at the end of this section.

Methods

This section must describe how the research was conducted, including details on the study design, population or samples, data collection procedures, instruments, and analysis methods. The description should be sufficiently detailed to allow replication. The section is typically written in the past tense and may include subheadings.

Results and Discussion

  • Results:
Present the research findings clearly and objectively. Tables and figures must be numbered sequentially, with captions placed above tables and below figures.

  • Discussion:
Interpret and explain the significance of the results, relate them to previous studies, discuss limitations, and propose directions for future research.

Conclusion

Summarize the main findings of the study concisely. Explain how the results support the research objectives, relate to existing knowledge, and contribute to advancements in agriculture, forestry, and related sciences.

References

The reference list must include a minimum of 20 sources, with at least five references published within the last ten years, unless older sources are scientifically justified. Authors are fully responsible for the accuracy and integrity of their references; however, the editorial team reserves the right to make necessary grammatical and formatting corrections.
