Peer Review Process
Peer Review Process
The initial evaluation of each submitted manuscript is conducted by the editorial team of Journal of Integrated Animal and Aquatic Sciences (IGATI). During this preliminary assessment, the editors determine whether the manuscript aligns with the journal’s focus and scope in animal science, fisheries, and aquatic sciences, meets scientific and methodological standards, and complies with the journal’s formatting and ethical requirements. All submissions are screened for similarity using Crosscheck–iThenticate or equivalent plagiarism detection software.
Manuscripts that pass the initial evaluation are forwarded to at least two independent reviewers through a Blind Peer Review process. In this process, the identities of both authors and reviewers are concealed to ensure objectivity, fairness, and academic integrity.
Reviewers assess the manuscript based on its scientific quality, originality, methodological rigor, clarity of presentation, and contribution to the advancement of animal and aquatic sciences. Reviewers provide written comments and constructive recommendations for improvement.
The reviewers’ reports are communicated to the corresponding author, who is required to revise the manuscript and submit a detailed response addressing each comment. The editorial team then evaluates the revised manuscript and determines whether further review is necessary or whether a final decision can be made.
Following editorial deliberation, the Editor-in-Chief communicates the final decision to the corresponding author. Manuscripts accepted for publication proceed to copyediting and layout editing to produce the final, publication-ready version for online release.
Review Outcomes
Based on reviewers’ recommendations and editorial assessment, the Editor will make one of the following decisions:
