Author Guidelines
A. General Requirements
To meet the minimum standards of Jurnal Ilmu Bahasa, Sastra, dan Budaya (BASADYA), submissions must adhere to the following criteria:

Manuscripts should be written in Indonesian or English and must include an abstract and keywords in English.

The paper should be formatted on A4 size using two columns.

Line spacing should be single, with one space between lines.

Page margins must be set as follows: Top 1.9 cm, Bottom 4.13 cm, Left 1.43 cm, and Right 1.43 cm, using mirror margins.

Text should be typed in Times New Roman, 10-point font, and prepared using Microsoft Word.

Figures must be numbered, with titles placed below each figure, using single spacing.

Tables should be numbered and titled above each table, also using single spacing.

Author names should include complete affiliation addresses and corresponding email addresses.

Papers should be between 6 to 10 pages in length. Manuscripts exceeding 10 pages will be evaluated by the editors.

Authors are required to use reference management tools such as Zotero, Mendeley, or EndNote, following the APA citation style.

Ensure that the manuscript is formatted according to the BASADYA journal template.

Submissions must comply with the journal’s Ethical Statement and Copyright Agreement.
B. Structure of The Manuscript
Manuscripts should be structured as follows:

Title:
The title should be written in sentence case, without acronyms or abbreviations, and should clearly reflect the focus of the study. -
Abstract:
The abstract should provide a concise summary of the manuscript (maximum 250 words) and be written in Times New Roman, single-spaced, without citations. It should include the background, objectives, methods, main results, analysis, and conclusions. -
Keywords:
Provide 3–5 keywords that describe the main concepts of the article. -
Introduction:
Explain the importance or relevance of the research, describe the research problem or context, review existing studies, identify knowledge gaps, and explain how the current research addresses these gaps. If applicable, hypotheses should be stated at the end of the introduction. -
Methods:
Describe in detail how the study was conducted, including population, sample, methods, instruments, and analysis procedures. The section should be detailed enough to allow replication and written in past tense using passive voice. -
Results and Discussion:
Present findings clearly in the Results section (past tense), including tables and figures labeled and numbered separately (captions above tables and below figures). The Discussion should connect findings to existing research, discuss implications, limitations, and suggest future research directions. -
Conclusion:
Summarize the main findings concisely. Discuss how results support the study’s objectives and how they contribute to the broader understanding of language, literature, or culture. -
Acknowledgment (if applicable):
Acknowledge funding sources, institutions, or individuals who contributed to the research. -
References:
Include at least 20 references, with a minimum of five from the last ten years, unless older sources are essential. References should follow the APA (7th Edition) citation style.
