Peer Review Process
The initial review of submitted manuscripts is conducted by the editorial team of Jurnal Ilmu Bahasa, Sastra, dan Budaya (BASADYA). During this desk evaluation, the editors assess whether the manuscript is suitable for publication based on the journal’s focus and scope, similarity score checked through Crosscheck–iThenticate, methodological soundness, clarity of presentation, and adherence to the journal’s writing guidelines and template.
If the manuscript meets these initial criteria, it is forwarded to at least two anonymous reviewers for a Blind Peer Review process. Both the authors’ and reviewers’ identities remain confidential to maintain objectivity and fairness.
The reviewers’ comments and recommendations are communicated to the corresponding author, who is responsible for revising the manuscript according to the suggestions provided. After the revised version is submitted, the editorial team evaluates it and determines whether further revisions are needed or if it can proceed to the next stage. The final decision is made by the Editor in consultation with the Editorial Board.
Accepted manuscripts then move to the copyediting and layout editing stages to prepare the final, camera-ready version for publication.
Review Outcomes
Based on the reviewers’ recommendations, the Editor makes the final decision regarding the publication of the manuscript. The review process generally takes 4 to 8 weeks. Possible editorial decisions include:

Reject: The manuscript does not meet the journal’s standards and will not be considered for resubmission.

Resubmit for Review: The manuscript requires substantial revisions and will undergo a second round of review.

Accept with Revisions: The manuscript is accepted on the condition that minor or major revisions are made. These revisions are checked by the editorial team before publication.

Accept: The manuscript is accepted in its current form and proceeds to the publication stage without further modifications.
Correspondence
All correspondence concerning manuscripts should be addressed to the Editor of Jurnal Ilmu Bahasa, Sastra, dan Budaya (BASADYA) and copied to admin@sihojurnal.com.
The Editor will communicate directly with the corresponding author, who is responsible for conveying information to co-authors.
In addition to review-related correspondence, accepted manuscripts may require further communication during the copyediting and layout editing stages prior to publication.
