Peer Review Process

Peer Review Process

  1. Initial Review
Editors conduct an initial desk evaluation of the submitted manuscript to determine its suitability for JUKONI. This assessment is based on several factors:

    • Focus and scope alignment with the journal
    • Similarity score using Crosscheck-iThenticate
    • Methodological soundness
    • Readability
    • Adherence to the journal's paper template

If the manuscript passes the desk review, it is sent to at least two anonymous reviewers for a Blind Peer Review.

  2. Review and Feedback
The anonymous reviewers provide comments and feedback, which are communicated to the corresponding author. The author is responsible for making the necessary revisions and responding to the reviewers' comments.

  3. Final Decision
Once revisions are submitted, the editorial team meets to discuss and propose a final decision on the manuscript. The Editor then communicates the decision to the corresponding author. If accepted, the manuscript moves on to the copyediting and layout editing stages to prepare the camera-ready version.

Review Outcomes

The Editor, based on feedback from the peer review process, makes the final decision regarding publication. The review process usually takes 4 to 8 weeks. The possible decisions include:

  • Reject: The manuscript is not suitable for publication, and the authors will not be able to resubmit a revised version to JUKONI.
  • Resubmit for Review: The manuscript requires significant revisions and a second round of peer review before a final decision can be made.
  • Accept with Revisions: The manuscript needs Minor or Major revisions before it can be published. The editorial team will review the revisions to ensure they meet the required standards.
  • Accept: The manuscript is accepted for publication in its current form, without further modifications.

Correspondence

All correspondence related to manuscripts should be directed to the Editor of JUKONI and cc'd to admin@sihojurnal.com. The Editor will communicate primarily with the lead author, who must ensure that co-authors are informed of the communication. After the review process, further correspondence may be necessary during the copyediting and layout editing stages for accepted manuscripts.

This process ensures that the manuscripts submitted to JUKONI meet high academic and publishing standards.
