Low student motivation and poor learning outcomes in Islamic Religious Education (IRE) remain among the challenges encountered in the teaching and learning process at the elementary school level. Learning activities that rely predominantly on conventional teaching methods often result in limited student participation, boredom, and a lack of meaningful learning experiences. One innovation that can be implemented to address these challenges is the use of an Interactive Flat Panel (IFP) equipped with interactive multimedia, which enables learning materials to be presented in a visual, engaging, and interactive manner. This study aims to improve students’ motivation and learning outcomes in Islamic Religious Education through the use of an Interactive Flat Panel (IFP) integrated with interactive multimedia among fifth-grade students at SDN Sumbersari 2 Malang. The study employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) method based on the Kemmis and McTaggart model, consisting of four stages: planning, action, observation, and reflection. The research was conducted over two cycles involving 28 students. Data were collected through observation, tests, interviews, and documentation, while data analysis was carried out using descriptive quantitative and qualitative approaches. The results indicate that the use of an Interactive Flat Panel (IFP) integrated with interactive multimedia improved students’ learning motivation from 63% in the pre-cycle to 76.60% in Cycle I and 92.00% in Cycle II. Students’ learning outcomes also improved, as evidenced by an increase in the class average score from 68.39 in the pre-cycle to 78.57 in Cycle I and 88.21 in Cycle II. Furthermore, the classical learning mastery rate reached 92.86%. These findings demonstrate that the use of an Interactive Flat Panel (IFP) integrated with interactive multimedia can create a more active, engaging, collaborative, and student-centered Islamic Religious Education learning environment, thereby positively contributing to improvements in student motivation and learning outcomes. Therefore, an Interactive Flat Panel (IFP) integrated with interactive multimedia can serve as an innovative instructional medium to support the improvement of Islamic Religious Education in elementary schools.
