The development of digital technology has made social media an integral part of everyday life, including the lives of junior high school students. Social media can be used to search for information, access learning materials, communicate, and discuss school assignments. However, excessive and uncontrolled use may reduce study time, disrupt concentration, and encourage task procrastination. This study aims to examine the influence of social media use intensity on time management and learning productivity among junior high school students in the digital era, as well as the role of time management in supporting learning productivity. The study is designed using a quantitative approach with a survey method. Data will be collected through a Likert-scale questionnaire administered to junior high school students. The research variables include social media use intensity as the independent variable, time management as the mediating variable, and learning productivity as the dependent variable. The data will be analyzed using descriptive statistics, instrument testing, and inferential analysis appropriate to the characteristics of the data. Previous studies suggest that social media can support academic activities when used purposefully, but may also interfere with time management when used excessively. This study is expected to provide empirical evidence regarding the relationships among these variables in junior high school students and offer useful considerations for students, teachers, and parents in promoting productive social media use.
