Curriculum change is an integral component of educational reform aimed at improving the quality of teaching and learning while ensuring that educational practices remain responsive to developments in science, technology, and students’ learning needs. The successful implementation of curriculum reform depends not only on the educational policies established by relevant authorities but also on teachers’ readiness, competence, and capacity to translate curriculum requirements into effective instructional practices. This article aims to analyze teachers’ readiness to respond to curriculum changes, focusing on their understanding of curriculum policies and principles, pedagogical and professional competence, instructional planning, implementation of appropriate teaching strategies, utilization of educational media and technology, and application of assessment practices aligned with learning objectives. Furthermore, this article examines the factors that facilitate or constrain teachers’ readiness, including teaching experience, access to professional development, availability of educational facilities and resources, institutional support, and professional collaboration among teachers. Teacher readiness for curriculum change is a multidimensional construct encompassing knowledge, skills, attitudes, psychological preparedness, and professional competence. Therefore, strengthening teachers’ readiness requires sustained efforts through relevant professional development programs, structured mentoring, professional learning communities, adequate educational resources, and consistent institutional support. These initiatives are expected to enhance teachers’ capacity to adapt effectively to curriculum changes and implement them contextually in accordance with students’ characteristics and learning needs. In conclusion, analyzing teacher readiness provides an important foundation for identifying professional development priorities and formulating sustainable strategies to support effective curriculum implementation and continuous improvement in educational quality.
