Peer Review Process
Peer Review Process
The initial evaluation of every submitted manuscript is conducted by the Editorial Team. During this desk review, the editors assess whether the manuscript aligns with the focus and scope of Jurnal Ilmu Agama Indonesia (JIGAMNA). This evaluation includes checking the similarity score using Crosscheck–iThenticate, assessing the methodological quality, readability, and compliance with the journal’s template and author guidelines.
If the manuscript passes this initial stage, it is forwarded to at least two anonymous reviewers for a Blind Peer Review.
The reviewers’ comments and recommendations are then communicated to the corresponding author, who is responsible for addressing all feedback and submitting the revised manuscript along with a response letter.
After revision, the editorial team convenes to review the revised version and determine the final recommendation. The Editor-in-Chief then communicates the final decision to the corresponding author.
Accepted manuscripts subsequently move to the copyediting and layout editing stages to prepare the final camera-ready version for publication.
Review Outcomes
Based on the reviewers’ feedback and editorial deliberation, the Editor-in-Chief makes the final publication decision. The peer review process generally takes 4 to 8 weeks from submission to final decision.
Possible editorial decisions include:
-
Reject
The manuscript is unsuitable for publication in Jurnal Ilmu Agama Indonesia (JIGAMNA). Rejected papers will not be reconsidered for future submission. -
Resubmit for Review
The manuscript requires substantial revision and will undergo another round of peer review before a final decision can be made. -
Accept with Revisions
The manuscript is conditionally accepted, pending Minor or Major revisions. These revisions are reviewed by the editorial team to ensure that all necessary changes have been satisfactorily implemented. -
Accept
The manuscript is accepted in its current form and proceeds directly to the production stage for publication.
Correspondence
All correspondence related to manuscript submission, review, and publication should be directed to the Editor of Jurnal Ilmu Agama Indonesia (JIGAMNA) via email at admin@sihojurnal.com.
The Editor will communicate exclusively with the corresponding author, who is responsible for sharing all relevant updates and feedback with co-authors.
Following acceptance, further communication may occur during the copyediting and layout editing stages to finalize the publication-ready version.
