Peer Review Process
PEER REVIEW PROCESS
The initial review of submitted manuscripts is conducted by the Editorial Team of Jurnal Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat Terpadu Indonesia (JUMASTRI). During this desk evaluation stage, the editors assess whether the manuscript aligns with the journal's aims and scope, complies with the author guidelines and manuscript template, meets language and readability standards, demonstrates methodological rigor in community service implementation, and passes the similarity screening using plagiarism detection software.
Manuscripts that successfully pass the initial screening are forwarded to at least two independent reviewers through a Double-Blind Peer Review process, where neither the authors nor the reviewers know each other's identities.
Reviewer comments and recommendations are communicated to the corresponding author, who is responsible for revising the manuscript and providing a detailed response to the reviewers' suggestions. The revised manuscript may be returned to the reviewers for further evaluation when necessary.
After the review process is completed, the Editorial Board evaluates the reviewers' recommendations and determines the final decision regarding the manuscript. The Editor then communicates the final decision to the corresponding author.
Accepted manuscripts proceed to the copyediting, proofreading, and layout editing stages before publication to ensure accuracy, clarity, consistency, and compliance with the journal's publication standards.
REVIEW OUTCOMES
Based on the recommendations of the reviewers and the editorial evaluation, the Editor makes one of the following decisions. The review process generally takes between 4 and 8 weeks.
Reject
The manuscript is not suitable for publication in JUMASTRI due to significant issues related to originality, quality, methodology, relevance, or compliance with publication ethics. Rejected manuscripts may not be resubmitted in the same form.
Resubmit for Review
The manuscript has potential but requires substantial revisions before it can be reconsidered. Authors are invited to revise and resubmit the manuscript for a new round of peer review.
Accept with Revisions
The manuscript is conditionally accepted pending the completion of Minor Revisions or Major Revisions. The revised manuscript will be evaluated by the editorial team and, when necessary, by the reviewers to ensure that all required changes have been satisfactorily addressed.
Accept
The manuscript is accepted for publication in its current form and will proceed directly to the production process.
CORRESPONDENCE
All correspondence regarding manuscript submission, review, revision, and publication should be directed to the Editorial Office of Jurnal Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat Terpadu Indonesia (JUMASTRI).
The Editor will communicate directly with the corresponding author, who is responsible for conveying all information and decisions to co-authors. In addition to peer review communications, accepted manuscripts may require further correspondence during the copyediting, proofreading, and layout editing stages prior to publication.
